A couple days after it was announced that Connor McDavid would be playing for Team Canada at the World Championship, word now from Jack Michaels that he'll be joined in Russia by Taylor Hall. This will the third time in four years that Hall has joined Team Canada at the Worlds. He was part of the team that won gold last year.

TSN Reports That Connor McDavid Will Play for Canada at the World Championship

It was reported earlier today that Andrej Sekera would be respresenting Slovakia at the World Championship, now we know that he'll be joined at the tournament by another memeber of the Oilers, Connor McDavid, who will be there as a member of Team Canada. McDavid last represented Canada at the 2015 World Junior Championship, a team that he won a gold medal with. Following the Worlds he'll play for Team North America at the 2016 World Cup of Hockey.

Andrej Sekera to Play for Slovakia at the World Championship

The Oilers might only have two more games to play this season but, as reported by TSN's Ryan Rishaug, Andrej Sekera's season will last a little longer, as he is set to suit up for Slovakia at the upcoming World Championship. The World Championships will be held in Russia beginning on May 6, 2016. This will be Sekera's sixth time representing his country at the Worlds; he's also represented the Slovaks at the Olympics on two occasions. And before returning to Edmonton this fall he will skate with Team Europe during the 2016 World Cup of Hockey.

Nail Yakupov has been fined $2000 for diving/embellishment in the final seconds of a 4-0 loss to the Coyotes on March 12. This is the second time this season that Yakupov has been flagged for diving, he received a warning for his actions during a game against the Stars in October.
