As expected, Kings forward Tanner Pearson has been suspended for his hit on Brandon Davidson in Sunday night’s Oilers/Kings game. Pearson will miss the remained of the Kings’ preseason schedule and the first two games of the regular season. The explanation from the NHL’s Department of Player Safety can be seen in the video below.
The man on the receiving end of the hit, Brandon Davidson, left the game following the hit and did not return; he is currently listed as day-to-day. He did not play for the team last night and was not on the ice at practice today either. Hopefully he misses fewer games than Pearson does.
For the second straight day Davidson, Versteeg are not on the ice. Nor is Ryan Nugent-Hopkins
