It's a roster move that I think most Oilers fans expected at some point this season, but not one that many expected this soon; I thought this was likely still a couple weeks away, probably shortly after the All-Star Game. We were all wrong, the Oilers have recalled Zack Kassian from the Bakersfield Condors.

Must Reads
Kassian, as you likely recall was acquired late last month in a trade with the Montreal Canadiens that saw Ben Scrivens sent the other way, played four games for the Condors since joining the Oilers organization, scoring 1-0-1 with 6 penalty minutes and a +1. The Oilers had a roster spot available so nobody has to be sent down to make room for Kassian; however, his addition fills out the Oilers roster meaning that someone will have to be sent down when Nail Yakupov is ready to return, and that sounds like it could be any day now.
