Based on Todd McLellan's comments during the post game press conference we knew that the news about Ryan Nugent-Hopkins' wouldn't be good, and we were right. The Oilers announced this morning that he'll miss six to eight weeks with a hand injury. For those keeping count at home this is the third of four first overall picks to miss significant time with injuries this season.
RNH out of #Oilers lineup 6-8 weeks says Coach McLellan.

Without Nugent-Hopkins and Connor McDavid, the middle of the Oilers' line-up is more than a little thin right now. Obviously this leads to questions/thoughts about McDavid possibly returning to the line-up this week, before the All-Star Game, instead of after as had been previously identified as a timeline. And the answer to that question is a definite no. If you're a fan of the Lightning, Stars, or Predators this is very good news.
"Not one bit. He's not ready." Coach McLellan, asked if there was any consideration to put @cmcdavid97 back in #Oilers lineup this week
