Morning, folks! The Links take Labour Day off, but the Edmonton Oilers apparently do not. This just in, from the team’s official Twitter account:

The #Oilers have signed forward & 2020 fifth-round selection Tyler Tullio to a three-year, entry-level contract. #LetsGoOilers https://t.co/7n3c745gbV
Tullio, currently listed at 5’10’’ 165 pounds, was drafted in the fifth round, 126th overall, in 2020 after a tidy 27-39-66 in 62 GP with Oshawa. He’s since followed that up by dipping his toes in professional hockey, collecting 4-9-13 in 19 GP as a teenager in Slovakia. This year he’ll be back in Oshawa — where he was named captain last week — but will head back to Edmonton in a few days to prepare for Oilers Rookie Camp. He’s collected 2-1-3 in two OHL preseason games for the Generals.
Tullio also took part in Team Canada’s WJHC Summer Showcase as part of the extended group of players in contention to make the World Juniors team. Arrows up, young man.
(Now sign Kailer Yamamoto, Ken.)
