The Oilers trampled the Seattle Kraken by a 6-0 margin last night. Tonight it’s a fresh crew taking on the Jets in Winnipeg. Let’s see who’s in tonight and what we can expect.

  • Tonight’s top line looks quite a bit like the expected third line this season. Warren Foegele is set to make his Oiler debut alongside Ryan McLeod. I suppose there’s a chance that Ryan McLeod could end up centering this line, though I’d expect Derek Ryan to play between both Foegele and Zack Kassian. Kassian is looking for a bounce-back season after missing significant time on two occasions last season.
  • Evan Bouchard will see action again tonight after playing in Edmonton’s 6-0 win over Seattle last night. He’ll pair with Slater Koekkoek, which could end up being the third pair on defence to open the season. Cody Ceci will make his Oilers preseason debut alongside William Lagesson.
  • Ilya Konovalov and Stuart Skinner are expected to split the net duties tonight.

Let’s have some fun out there.
