The Oilers host the expansion Seattle Kraken for the first time.

Let’s check out the lines and see what we can expect.

  • TOP OF THE POPS: All eyes will be on the top line of Zach Hyman - Connor McDavid and Jesse Puljujärvi as the Oilers host the Kraken for the first time ever. Zach Hyman will play his first preseason game as a membe of the Oilers after signing a 7 year contract with the Oilers this offseason. The DRY line is back tonight as well.
  • Brendan Perlini scored a goal against Calgary on Sunday, he’ll team up with Devin Shore and Kyle Turris on the third line. Tyler Benson and Ryan McLeod get a new linemate with PTO Colton Sceviour.
  • Nurse / Barrie is a lock this season, so I’ve got my eye on Berglund/Broberg and another night of Evan Bouchard.
  • FOR THE KRAKEN: Former Oiler Riley Sheahan will centre the top line for Seattle. I’ll be watching for goaltender Chris Driedger, who would be an interesting trade idea should the Oilers be looking for a goaltender later in the year.
