Morning, folks.

Another day, another chance to be put in a tricky spot if Kailer Yamamoto gets an offer sheet in the $3MM+ neighborhood. Hopefully Ken Holland’s sold his Dyson reserves and can focus on his main gig for a few weeks.

Although, the last time that happened, he decimated the defense — and youth — at the expense of a ‘better’ forward group.

(To be clear, I think the Fs are better than they’ve been in awhile, or at least deeper, but the D is brutal and the Gs will require a bit of a miracle to be competitive.)

Damn you, Ken.

Yesterday, Oilers captain Connor McDavid spoke to the media during his annual appearance at the BioSteel camp. He talked about his own game, the new look team, the Olympics, and how he has — if you can believe it — another level. Yes, I know. We can only hope.
