Well, it’s unanimous.

Connor McDavid is the player adjudged to be most valuable to his team after receiving all 100 first place votes from the 100 PHWA writers voting on the award this season.

Moments before, the NHL announced that McDavid was also voted the most outstanding player by his peers, winning the Ted Lindsay time for the third time in his six-year NHL career.

His teammate, sometimes linemate and always kindred spirit and absolute best friend, Leon Draisaitl (who won these very two awards last season), was able to present the award to McDavid this year:

McDavid might just be the best player you ever watch. Since entering the league in 2015, he has amassed an absurd 574 points in 407 GP, adding another 22 in 21 postseason contests. He’s in his absolute prime and we should all be grateful he plays for our favorite team and no one else’s.
