Morning, folks!

The Athletic’s Jonathan Willis took a crack at putting together a realistic trade package for BUF C Jack Eichel. It’s quite dear. I love me some Eichel, but it gave me some pause. Losing the 2021 first round pick is a no-brainer, that doesn’t bother me at all. But throwing Jesse Puljujarvi in the mix has me concerned. Throwing in Dylan Holloway, too, though that stings less. Such is the nature of trading for ~top-10 Fs with some term left and on the right side of 25.

But, still. It’s a lot. And it reintroduces the possibility of Zack Kassian: first line forward, which gives me hives. No thanks.

Willis wouldn’t trade Darnell Nurse for Eichel. But I would. Would Nurse and the first get it done by itself?! Would you do something like that? Would you do JP+DH+2021 1st?
