A bit of this, that, and the other this morning as we’re really gearing down into our offseason pace — we being me in this case, definitely — and the hockey games are fewer and farther between.
The first ‘conference semi’ started last night with the New York Oilanders taking game one over a Tampa Bay Lightning team featuring what appears to be an extremely hurt Victor Hedman:
That giant blue line down there at the bottom? That’s one of your three Norris finalists.
The top news item from this weekend for me — and I didn’t even see it — was Denmark’s Christian Eriksen collapsing, basically dying, and then being brought back to life by a crack team of medical staff on site. Really puts into perspective the dangers of playing professional sport. Hope the young man has a full recovery and fuller life.
