The Oilers are in Vancouver to take on the Canucks tonight. They’ll be good and familiar with each other by the end of this week, the clubs are set to play each other four times over the next six days. There’s plenty going on for the Oilers as they look to lock down a playoff berth as soon as possible. Let’s get at it.

THREE FOUR THINGS TO LOOK FOR

  • JUJHAR: Jujhar Khaira is back in the lineup just two weeks after suffering his second concussion in about a month. I’m excited for him, but I wish him nothing but a clean bill of health from here on out. Khaira has had a decent year as effective physical bottom six for this club, it’s good to see him healthy.
  • CONNOR: Number 97 has 87 points so far this year. A baker’s dozen will give him triple digits if he can make it happen over the next seven games.
  • TYLER: Tyler Ennis is back on an emergency recall tonight. Don’t particularly understand why Devin Shore is a favourite of Tippett’s over Ennis (ok, i DO know why, but it’s not a good enough reason). A healthy Ennis is like a healthy Caleb Jones, both ought to be in the lineup every game.
  • JUST ONE POINT: It’s been a wild season, but the Oilers are at the point of making it official. They don’t even need to win tonight, they just need to take it to OT. One point will stamp Edmonton’s playoff card tonight. An 8-3 win works just as well, if not better.

It’s down to this. Let’s go.
