Connor McDavid picked up four goals and six assists in his last four games to earn the NHL’s second star of the week. I like the one he scored on Calgary’s Jacob Markstrom on Saturday night the best.

Another week for Connor McDavid in the books, another ten points. McDavid picked up three points against Calgary on Saturday, he finished with seven (3-4-7) in two games over the Winnipeg Jets. Detroit Red Wings goaltender Thomas Greiss was named first star (back to back shutouts), while New York Islanders goaltender Semyon Varlamov was named the NHL’s third star (back to back shutouts).
I’ve run out of adjectives to describe Connor McDavid and his play. He’s outer-worldly. Ten points over a week is a career week for most players. For McDavid, it’s all another day at the office.
Ten points for McDavid puts his grand total at 87 points in 49 games for the season. He needs just thirteen more points to hit the 100 point mark in a 56 game season. He and the rest of the Edmonton Oilers will look for some goals and two points in the win column tonight.
