Oilers win in OT, Canadiens clinch, Eichel out in Buffalo?

Hi everyone, I hope you’re well.

Plenty of NHL action on and off the ice yesterday. Let’s get to it.

GAME RECAP: Oilers 4, Canadiens 3 (OT) - our wrap up of the game that resulted in Montréal clinching the final seed of the North Division playoffs. Connor McDavid had a two point night including the game winner in OT, while Ryan McLeod had his first NHL point en route to a couple of points in the standings for the good guys.

Worth A Look: (Oilers Nation) - Now that McLeod has his first NHL point, Brownlee ponders whether or not a line comprised of Ryan McLeod, James Neal and Alex Chiasson can make any noise on the scoresheet.

15 Years Later: May 10th, 2006 (The Oilers Rig) - Alex Thomas rewinds the clock 15 years (it’s been 15 years!) back to when the Oilers were down two games to none against the San Jose Sharks. Game 3 at Rexall Place. Wonder what happens next?

The Milk Run (Lowetide) - Ryan McLeod is establishing himself already as the 3C.

EVERYTHING ELSE

Buffalo Sabres end of season interviews (SB Nation’s Die By The Blade) - Jack Eichel has made it very clear that they’re not happy. I’d wager he’s played his last game in Buffalo.

Clinched! (SB Nation’s Eyes On The Prize) - The Habs lost last night’s game in OT, but that didn’t stop the Habs from getting just what they needed in order to clinch the final playoff spot in the North.

Bruins Clinch 3 Seed - (SB Nation’s Stanley Cup of Chowder) - Some guy named Taylor Hall scored the game winner.

That’s all for now.

Compile the top three contracts you hate most for an imminent Jack Eichel deal.
