Good evening, folks!

Tonight marks the last Battle of Alberta of the 2021 season, with the host Edmonton Oilers looking for a rebound result after suffering a couple of tough losses in a row at the hands of the visiting Calgary Flames.

McLeoder for the People in the Back

That’s right, folks, Ryan McLeod will make his debut in the Oilers top six after a tidy start to his NHL career that’s seen him post a 56.24% xGF% since his arrival. His two linemates tonight, Jesse Puljujarvi and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, are sitting at 55.44% and 55.23%, respectively, and should provide the young man with a nice platform for succeeding tonight. That the Super Line will be ahead of them, presumably drawing the more difficult matchup, should help clear a bit of runway for them, too.

He’s Alive

Sure, the picture’s of Ethan Bear, but there is at least some verbal about Evan Bouchard’s existence. That’s reassuring.
