Well, if you thought last night’s Third Period Choke II: The Chokening was cause for me to go absolutely off on Dave Tippett and Ken Holland this morning, well, you’d be right.
But here’s the M. Night Shyamalan-ian twist: I don’t give a shit.
Dave Tippett, once again, was outcoached in a game his boss’ bad-turned-amazing bet Mike Smith — who is in the midst of an extremely rare late-career renaissance — helped stake them to a 2-0 lead with 20 minutes to play anyway, and they still couldn’t win.
You might have hope that these men will figure it out. I’m convinced they won’t, and that any success they do have as a team will be in spite of them. As it has been and will, apparently, always be around here.

I think the other part about Glendenning and the Oilers is I think they would potentially have interest in an extension if they were to bring him in... Could they make that work on a 2 or 3 year deal.. to justify spending those assets
