Weekly Odds Forecast April 5-11

NHL: Calgary Flames at Edmonton Oilers Perry Nelson-USA TODAY Sports

After a satisfying 2-1 week (plus an unfortunate postponement), the Oilers are back at it again this week. First up, they have a chance to redeem themselves for Tuesday’s effort against Montreal, then, they have two against our friends from Ottawa. Let’s see how the model projects these games.

Monday, April 5th @ the Montreal Canadiens:

My model: Oilers (45%), Habs (55%)

Bet on Edmonton if you can find them at better than 2.22, bet on Montreal if you can find them at better than 1.82.

365 current odds: Oilers (2.15), Habs (1.74)

verdict: no value at the moment.

Wednesday, April 7th vs. the Ottawa Senators:

My model: Oilers (64%), Sens (36%)

Bet on Edmonton if you can find them above 1.56, bet on Ottawa if you can find them above 2.79.

Friday, April 9th vs. The Ottawa Senators:

My model: Oilers (64%), Sens (36%)

According to my model, the Oilers have a 41% chance of remaining undefeated against the Sens by the conclusion of this week.

Meanwhile, in CondorsTown...

Bakersfield lost their lone game last week, 4-3 to San Jose. It appears they’ve cooled off significantly, but my model still likes them to get back on track in their three upcoming games this week.

Tuesday, April 6th vs the Ontario Reign:

Bakersfield (69%), Ontario (31%)

Friday, April 9th vs the Henderson Silver Knights:

Henderson (65%), Bakersfield (35%)

Saturday, April 10th vs the San Jose Barracuda:

Bakersfield (68%), San Jose (32%)

The Henderson game will be an important one to keep an eye on. They’re really good, and the Condors’ relative lack of games against them so far may play a factor in me overrating Bakersfield.

As always, best of luck!
