The Oilers flew in their hot air balloons to Winnipeg to face off in the first of a two game set.

Let’s see what’s cooking.

THREE THINGS TO LOOK FOR

  • Tonight is Ryan McLeod’s first game in the NHL. He’s the centre on a line with Devin Shore and Josh Archibald. McLeod’s having a fine season in Bakersfield prior to his callup; he averaged a point a game in 28 games (14-14-28). McLeod was the second round selection for the Oilers in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, let’s see if his linemates can keep up tonight.
  • Tonight is Dmitry Kulikov’s first game in an Oilers sweater since being acquired at the trade deadline two weeks ago. He’s on a pair with Adam Larsson tonight. I think I’d rather have him with Barrie, but we’ll see how he looks tonight with 6. Other than that, this is probably the optimal defence setup.
  • MAKE IT 4: Jesse Puljujarvi has goals in his last three games. Can he make it four in a row?

Let’s get at ‘er.
