Morning, folks!

A quiet morning with the Oilers off last night and then again for the next three nights before they return to action Monday against Winnipeg.

Word came down yesterday that Zack Kassian will miss some hockey games after appearing to injure his left leg trying to hit somebody behind the Montreal net the other night. Hope he’s OK but, also, hope this means the team’s most productive winger, Tyler Ennis, draws back in.

Of course, Kassian’s injury could also pave a path for the recently recalled Ryan McLeod to take a cup full of coffee in the bigs for a night or two. We’ll see how Dave Tippett chooses to solve that one. The smart money’s on sub-optimally.

Have yourselves a great weekend, get vaccinated if you’re eligible, and otherwise stay safe out there.

Until Monday.
