THEY’RE BACK

The Oilers are back in action for the first time in a week. They’re at Winnipeg today to take on the Jets in an early one. The Jets are playing their fourth game in six days, while the Oilers are just getting back at it. Which Oilers club will we see tonight?

THREE THINGS TO LOOK FOR

  • The Oilers are playing their first game since dropping a 5-0 clunker in Calgary last Saturday. They’ve got to get out to a hot start early or the Jets could take an advantage of an Oilers slow start. Can the Oilers get all four lines working early?
  • Joakim Nygard has been recalled from the taxi squad and will see some time on the Devin Shore / Zack Kassian line. Can Nygard bring a scoring touch to the fourth line tonight?
  • Mike Smith will be in net looking for his fifteenth win of the season. Can he help backstop the Oilers to a W?

Let’s go.
