Well, the worst is behind us (hopefully) and clearer skies are ahead (hopefully) as the Oilers schedule features a healthy dose of get right in the coming week. Edmonton will have an opportunity to dress and disinfect their substantial wounds before an HNIC BOA on Saturday and a three game set with Ottawa next. Here’s hoping they can claw some results from those games.

Curious? Me too. So I tracked it down. It’s the first sequence in the clip below:
The Great Doctor did not care too much for that at all. Pretty funny the only time the MSM here can even kind of ask a difficult question is when they can’t help themselves from shitting on the reigning MVP. Amazing stuff.
Meanwhile Dave Tippett’s been having what appears to be some kind of a slow motion stroke these past three games with his lineup and in-game decisions and there’s been nary a peep from the area scribes.
I’ll say this: if nothing else, it seems quite clear that the Oilers don’t yet have enough to compete with the best teams in the league, of which I’d consider Toronto part of that group. There’s probably a handful of teams that good and then there’s the rest, and this series has cemented Edmonton’s place among the latter.
Ken Holland needs to get off his ass and make this team better — OR, he needs to be OK with being mediocre, and part out guys like Tyson Barrie so that he can the team prepared for an actual run next season.
