Morning, folks!

Our heroes managed to come all the way back last night and get the Toronto off their back, erasing a small third period deficit to win in overtime.

Sure, the donated point isn’t great, but getting that second point still has value and getting over the hump that has been the Leafs soundly outplaying them for what feels like 14 of the last 15 periods does too.

Another curious night in which Caleb Jones can’t find a role but William Lagesson — who I’d like to think we can all agree is struggling and quite obviously not as good by now — seems like a lock.

Tippett seems content to merely survive the non McDavid minutes and it just doesn’t make any goddamn sense to me. Even if it worked last night, it’s a game they lose more often than not.

The b’ys are back at it tonight for one of their three make-up games with Montreal. The Canadiens haven’t done anything in a long time, I believe their first practice since this all went down was yesterday. Might be an opportunity for the Oilers to smash and grab a quick 2 points against a rusty Habs group on their way back home.
