Edmonton is reeling a little after a couple of losses, first to Vancouver on Saturday and then to Calgary last time out. Edmonton could have scraped results from both of those performances but good goaltending against the Canucks and a few gaffes against the Flames saw them lose both in regulation.

Tonight’s probably the most must-win game of the season so far. Let’s get it then.

Mike Smith (9-3-0, 0.921%) will go again for Edmonton despite a bumpy start last time out. Jacob Markstrom (11-7-2, 0.910%) will reprise his role as ‘just good enough to not lose to Mike Smith’ for Calgary, too.

Can’t Evan Believe It

Well, the Oilers did a little shuffling today in response to a few injuries sustained in the last game. Tyson Barrie’s status is up in the air and will be a game-time decision.
