The Oilers doubled up the Calgary Flames by a 2-1 margin last night at the Dome. They’re right back at it tonight, this time at home. Can the Oilers take care of the Flames twice in two nights?
THREE THINGS TO LOOK FOR
- Mikko Koskinen will make the start tonight for the Oilers. Koskinen’s last ice time was in relief of Mike Smith during Edmonton’s 6-5 loss to the Winnipeg Jets on Monday. Can Koskinen turn in a solid performance and pick up his seventh win of the season tonight?
- 97/29: Alright, it’s been fun for two games without either Connor McDavid or Leon Draisaitl picking up a single point. I’d wager that changes tonight. McDavid sits at 501 career points after picking up two in Wednesday’s 3-2 win over the Jets.
- LOAD MANAGEMENT: Darnell Nurse played 30:01 in last night’s win over the Flames, while both Slater Koekkoek and Evan Bouchard played under 10 minutes each. Will we see some fresh legs on defence tonight to take some of those extra minutes off the top?
Let’s. Go. Oilers.
