Morning, folks!

Hope you, too, are feeling the funk after a solid Edmonton performance and an even better result last night. 38 saves from Mike Smith later and the Oilers got a slice of revenge on a Montreal Canadiens outfit who looked a whole tier better than them earlier in the season. Jujhar Khaira continued his renaissance between Tyler Ennis and Josh Archibald, Smith looked pretty solid all night with a couple of legitimately huge saves, and the Oilers found more road points without either of their MVPs going off. You do indeed love to see it.

RE: The Puljujarvi situation from yesterday.

There was this from Darren Dreger:

OK then. Meanwhile, on the broadcast last night, John Shannon said that Puljujarvi tested positive initially — though he did support JP testing negative later in the day — in which case, I believe, he’d have to stay symptom-free and return two negatives in the next two days before being cleared to leave isolation. Something to pay attention to, anyway. Here’s hoping our non-petit prince is OK ASAP.

The Oilers get three days off now before getting back at it for two straight at home against the Winnipeg Jets on Monday and Wednesday. If Puljujarvi tests out, he might have an opportunity to rejoin the team beforehand. Here’s hoping, because:

Have a great weekend!
