Morning, folks!

It’s another off day for our heroes before the Edmonton Oilers square off against the Vancouver Canucks in their penultimate preseason game tomorrow. It feels like this preseason is never ending. Do the Oilers usually have 45 preseason games or is this an anomaly? Frankly I can’t remember.

This just in, from Carolina:

If you look closely, you’ll see someone familiar.

Yes, he played on the third pair today, but he absolutely obliterated his minutes. If they’re going to play him down there all year, whoever’s in front of him is going to crush their matchups. I’d wager he doesn’t finish the season there. Shit, he might not finish October there.

Excuse me while I weep.

It wouldn’t be a CB Podcast episode without the crew raining praise down on Jesse Puljujarvi!

Preston & Shona break down a few intriguing storylines surround Edmonton’s preseason to date including a look at Jesse Puljujarvi’s and Brendan Perlini’s fantastic showings as well as some less than fantastic showings from Kassian and Turris.

They also ponder whether there could be some changes inside the crease as the year goes on and give their ideal Oiler rosters for opening night!
