The Oilers suffered their first loss of the season at the hands of the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday night. They’d like nothing more than to forget all of that ever happened by picking up a win in Vancouver against the Canucks tonight.
THREE THINGS TO LOOK FOR
- Mike Smith is day-to-day with a lower body injury suffered nearly two weeks ago, so Mikko Koskinen is back in net for the Oilers after a lacklustre performance against Philadelphia. Koskinen has played well so far save for his last contest, he’ll look to rebound tonight.
- Tyler Benson will get back into the lineup for his second game of the season. Benson comes in for Brendan Perlini. The fourth line was not good in Wednesday’s 5-3 loss to the Flyers, will Benson be able to make a mark?
- Kailer Yamamoto needs a goal, and tonight’s just as good a night as any. Yamamoto has been held off the scoresheet every game so far, tonight would be a great day to move those goose eggs off the board.
Oilers and Canucks. Let’s get at ‘er.
