RUN IT BACK

Oilers are a perfect 4-0-0 to start the season, they’re in Vegas to face a struggling Golden Knights team tonight. Can the Oilers keep up the streak?

THREE THINGS TO LOOK FOR

  • KOSKINEN x 2: Mikko Koskinen was nearly perfect in last night’s win over the Arizona Coyotes, turning aside 27 of 28 shots. He’ll be asked to do it again tonight. Can the Oilers get two solid starts in two nights out of Mikko Koskinen?
  • VEGAS LUCK?: The Golden Knights have struggled so far this season, winning just one of their first three games. They’re currently dealing with a rash of injuries with players like Max Pacioretty, Alex Tuch, Mark Stone and Alec Martinez all out of tonight’s lineup. Are the Golden Knights due, or will the Oilers keep the Golden Knights in a fit of bad luck?
  • MCDAVID: I’ve been somewhat quiet on how good a start McDavid has had. He’s got eleven points in four games, no big deal. Just four games into the season, McDavid has six goals (!) and five assists to make eleven points. Everything he’s hitting the net with is going in right now. 2.667 points per game. Man’s a one man gang on skates out there.

Can the Oilers make it 5 in a row to start the season? Let’s find out.
