FOUR ON THE FLOOR

The Oilers took a wild one against the Ducks on Tuesday night at home. Tonight, they hit the road for the first of two games in two nights. The Oilers are in Arizona to take on a struggling Coyotes club that’s winless in their first three games. Can the Oilers put up their fourth win of the season?

THREE THINGS TO LOOK FOR

  • SPLIT ‘EM UP: The 97/29 combo has been separated for now. McDavid will team with Zach Hyman and Jesse Puljujärvi on the top line, while Leon Draisaitl will help get the DRY line back together. I’m not sure if this is a ‘thing’ because the Oilers need help on the seocnd line or simply if the Oilers are on the road, but having Leon and Connor on two different lines is the only way to fly while 5 on 5.
  • TIME FOR MIKKO: With Mike Smith out with a lower body injury for at least the next couple of games, Mikko Koskinen will get his first start of the season tonight (and he’ll probably get another one tomorrow in Vegas). Koskinen played well on Tuesday in relief of Smith, he turned aside 20 of 21 shots. Let’s see how he shows in his first start of the year.
  • BOUCH BOMBS? Tyson Barrie is starting on the top pair with Darnell Nurse, while Evan Bouchard is paired with Slater Koekkoek. Bouchard has been nipping at Barrie’s heels pretty good so far, is this the game that Bouchard gets to the top pair and sticks?

Let’s get it.
