Morning, folks!
We are barreling toward the start of the 2020-21 season as Friday marks five more sleeps before the puck drops next Wednesday. Of course, that assumes that everything’s good with the league and its relationship to COVID-19:
The Stars have cancelled practice today. The team cannot reveal why, and the league will handle communication on this matter.

Yeesh.
Yesterday, the Oilers scrimmaged, pitting the AM and PM practice groups from the last couple of days against each other in game action. Team White, led by Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, won 3-2 in OT thanks to their heroics. The more things change, etc. McDavid added another in regulation, which bodes well for us and likely less well for other regions of the country. Jesse Puljujarvi and Dominik Kahun featured for Team Blue, collecting a goal and assist respectively. Check out highlights from the scrimmage below:
Also, don’t forget to check out Jeff’s latest in his Six Pack Preview series, in which he asks SBN’s Artic Ice Hockey how to get to the airport in Winnipeg.
Have a good weekend.
