Some of you may be feeling the effects of the WJC result last night. Canadian fans are likely a bit dejected, a bit let down, a bit disappointed, while their American counterparts are probably feeling a little buoyed by the result.
Ultimately, none of it matters, and I can say confidently that I didn’t miss the WJC this season beyond my literal missing of the event — I don’t think I caught a single shift.
Word on the street (read: internet) is that Dylan Holloway was actually pretty good last night but, that also, therein lies the rub: Holloway shouldn’t be Canada’s best forward.
Though is it now not too soon to hammer Ken Holland for his selection of Phil Broberg over a guy like Trevor Zegras two drafts ago? It shouldn’t be. It felt immediately correct as soon as the pick was in, TBH.
Ah well, until next year’s.
