Oh, the Oilers need a win tonight. They need it bad. Edmonton hasn’t won since they were in Winnipeg on Sunday and they’re holding just three wins in their first nine games. A win tonight would split the two game series with the Maple Leafs and put the club in the right mood as they meet Ottawa tomorrow.
So what’s going on out there tonight?
Glimpse of the reverse retros at today’s practice....just one change on the lines...pairings remain the same. Koskinen gets the day off.

THREE THINGS TO LOOK FOR
- Mikko Koskinen is playing in his tenth straight game. He hasn’t exactly hit it out of the park so far, but those things are bound to turn up when you start ten in a row because the club didn’t have a satisfactory backup plan in place. Can Koskinen get the club to a W on fumes?
- Zack Kassian scored a 5 on 5 goal in Thursday’s 4-3 loss to the Maple Leafs. With Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl leading the league in scoring, can the bottom six chip in another goal tonight?
- Tonight’s the night that Dominik Kahun and Jesse Pujujärvi hit the scoresheet. It is written.
Let’s. Go. Oilers.
