We’re two sleeps from puck drop* as the Edmonton Oilers are set to kick their 2020-21 season off on Wednesday night against the Vancouver Canucks.

Allegedly, at least. Breaking news, from yesterday:

You’ll recall from last week that the Dallas Stars and Columbus Blue Jackets had similar issues, and, at least in Dallas’ case, will have start their season a few days later than everyone else, with at least two games being rescheduled:

All this to say it’s possible the Oilers don’t start on Wednesday, if things in Vancouver really pop off. We’ll keep you posted.
