Ken Holland has his work cut out for him in the next little while. The Oilers are still a few players away from being better than they were last season, and yet, there is no other option. That they have only a handful (+1) of years of control left of Connor McDavid necessitates them taking a significant step forward this off-season.

You read that right, folks. That’s the Edmonton Oilers very own Übermensch, Leon Draisaitl, reportedly heading to Germany to play for the Cologne Sharks. Sounds like the 2020/21 NHL season is far from a guarantee at this point if reigning Art Ross winners are securing work overseas in the meantime.
