Morning, folks!

It’s GAMEDAY, so get your 50/50s and schedule your Big Macs for 8:29 MST delivery. Be ready.

Breaking news from this morning as Jesse Puljujarvi has the former 4OV has signed for another season with Karpat Oulu in Finland. Don’t panic just yet, JP fans, as his deal apparently includes an out clause if Puljujarvi signs an NHL deal in the meantime. Given that the next NHL season isn’t slated to start until December at the earliest, it makes sense for a man serious about his development to want to get started right away (camp has already started for Karpat).

Taking a deep dive into the best goal of these playoffs: Connor McDavid’s second from game 2.

The Oilers split the first two games on ‘home ice’, but feel good about where their game is at heading into tonight’s pivotal game 3.

The James Neal, Alex Chiasson, and Jujhar Khaira line chipped in with a couple of goals and another strong game via the fancies. Dave Tippett is pleased.

With McDavid’s brilliance front and centre, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins has been able to amass the quietest back-to-back 3 point performances of all time. In fact, no Oilers duo has ever collected 3+ points in back to back playoff games. Not even Wayne Gretzky did that.

McDavid going supernova with Mikko Koskinen being good enough brings back memories to Oilers outfits of old: with Gretzky going watermelon ham with Grant Fuhr making exactly enough saves.

Oilers F Kirill Maksimov will join his compatriot and Oilers D prospect Dmitri Samorukov in Moscow after being loaned to CSKA to start the 2020-21 season.

We’re two games into resumption now. What do we know about these Oilers?

Stay tuned for our typical GAMEDAY coverage throughout the day. We’ll see you tonight. Like The Keg, that’s The Keg’s slogan or something, right?
