A bit under the wire here this morning after I woke up to Logan Couture tweeting about how he was sucker punched for thinking out loud that he would vote for Donald Trump and the GOP if he could while he was out in Toronto. Allegedly.
It threw me for a loop.
In the NBA you’ve got players of prominence on multiple teams discussing sitting out and not playing playoff games after the latest piece of high-profile police brutality in the USA saw Jacob Blake shot in the back 7 times in front of his children.
In the NHL you’ve got players of prominence wondering what the world is coming to after they get slugged for proudly and publicly proclaiming how big a pile of shit they are.
Disappointing.
In Oilers news, today is the big 50/50 that was supposed to be drawn over two weeks ago. With the total pot sitting just north of $14MM, someone’s life is about to change in a big way. Maybe they can use their winnings to fly to Toronto and punch Logan Couture in his equine face once more.
