Morning, folks!
Well, with the Draft Lottery behind us — our Superbowl — we’re well and truly into the offseason now. Ken Holland’s got his work cut out for him if he wants to turn this capped-out, average-at-best hockey club into something a few levels above that before next season starts.
We’ll dig deeper into some of the decisions he’s facing later this summer, but suffice it to say, it will probably demand the best summer he’s ever had as a GM in the cap world. I haven’t checked any of the fancy stat sites, but I wonder what the aging curve looks like for GMs around Holland’s age. Of course, he is well past 400 games managed, so perhaps he is what he is now.
Meanwhile, we wait.
