Morning, folks!

The NHL’s RTP schedule was teased out by the Bobfather yesterday, with games slated to start at 12PM, 4PM, and 8PM every single day. In both cities. There’s going to be so much hockey.

Questions about the state of the Oilers linger as the NHL gears up to resume the season in a few weeks. Can Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl — the league’s leaders in points per game this season — continue their dominance? Which goaltender is the better bet to start? Will any surprises make the team out of Second Camp?

James Neal’s contract was going to be rough with the cap increasing. With the cap staying flat for the next two seasons, it’s downright heinous. Does a buyout make sense? If not, might the Oilers be able to trade him with some retention?

There is a GoFundMe going around for a young Oilers fan, Kaysen, suffering from Spinal Muscular Atrophy, as the treatment for it has a price tag in the millions.

Evan Bouchard’s first professional season saw him finish with 7-29-36 in 54 AHL games, but by most accounts was really picking it up in the second half before the COVID-19 stoppage.

Sure, the Oilers had perhaps the best power play of all time, and were among the top teams on the penalty kill, too, but they were more than that. Some nights more than others perhaps, but still.

Phase 2 is still rocking down at Rogers Place, with Philip Broberg and Kailer Yamamoto joining the group, along with Adam Larsson, Gaetan Haas, Joakim Nygard and Cooper Marody.

We’re getting there, folks.
