A wild storm brought heavy winds and significant rain to downtown Edmonton tonight.
The weather was so rough, that Rogers Place suffered what looked to be some significant water intake.
The majority of damage appears to have been confined to Ford Hall.
A significant storm came through #yeg earlier this evening. As a result, #RogersPlace has suffered some water damage to the terminus of Ford Hall, along with some smaller leaks in other parts of the building.

Fortunately, it looks worse than it actually is. The water damage isn’t expected to cause a significant hang up with regards to the NHL’s return to play status. Exhibition games are expected to be played in less than two weeks, including Edmonton’s exhibition against Calgary on July 28th.
The Oilers will be back in action tomorrow for day 5 of their July training camp.
