Morning, folks!

First thing’s first, Cooper Marody joined Sportsnet’s @Home yesterday to debut his tribute to the late Colby Cave:

As per Russia’s RS Sport, Oilers D prospect Dimitri Samorukov will spend next season with CSKA Moscow instead of Bakersfield. Ken Holland has apparently signed off.

According to Oulu in Finland, Jesse Puljujarvi has warmed to the idea of returning to Edmonton.

This week is a big one for the Oilers historically, as Wayne Gretzky signed for the WHA’s Indianapolis Racers on June 10, 1978. It wouldn’t be long before he was acquired by Peter Pocklington.

Canadian teams with aims to be NHL Hubs are expecting good news about Canada’s 14-day quarantine requirements. Cases don’t seem to be stopping, so I’m really not sure why.

Friedman’s latest 31 Thoughts talks about the NHL’s ramping up to resumption, including setting a date for Phase 3: July 10.

Oilers prospect Ryan McLeod can skate and defend like an NHL player, but Jay Woodcroft and Co. are trying to coax more offense out of him.
