SHUFFLIN’
The Oilers didn’t have the best of times in Chicago. After a hum-drum 40 minutes, Edmonton made it interesting in the third period to draw it to within 1. The Blackhawks held on to a 4-3 win, and the Oilers are back home looking to take two points over the Blue Jackets. Some line changes are in order, and the Oilers get some big help on the blueline tonight.
Let’s see what’s cookin’.

The Blue Jackets are looking to stay afloat in their playoff chase. With 79 points in the Metro, they’re right at the wild card cut line. What can we expect from tonight’s game between the Oilers and Columbus Blue Jackets?
THREE THINGS TO LOOK FOR
- We’ve got line changes. Not only do the Oilers get Oscar Klefbom back in the lineup, we’ve got Ryan Nugent-Hopkins getting promoted to the top line with Connor McDavid and Zack Kassian. Line two features a Tyler Ennis on the Leon Draisaitl / Kailer Yamamoto line. Not too sure about Kris Russell on the right side with Caleb Jones, but here we are.
- Mikko Koskinen gets the nod beween the pipes tonight (17-13-2, .914 SV% / 2.80 GAA / 1 SO). Can the Oilers get a full sixty minutes from #19?
- PACIFIC WATCH: The Oilers got a little help from the Kings when they took down the Golden Knights. If they can win tonight, they’ll tie the Knights atop the Pacific.
Let’s. Go. Oilers.
