Ankles aren’t supposed to go like that.
Week-to-week isn’t really what I really wanted to hear regarding a potential ankle injury and #56. Yamamoto has been a bright spot for the Oilers this year. He’s averaged a point per game (9-12-21 in 21 games), he’s also been a huge piece of the nearly unstoppable line with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Leon Draisaitl. It’s a significant loss to Edmonton’s offence.
Markus Granlund has been recalled from Bakersfield. He has 4 points (1-3-4) in 32 games with Edmonton this season.
The Oilers will face the Ducks tonight in Anaheim. Puck drop is 8 PM Mountain.
