The Oilers are back in action for the first time in eleven days. They’ll host the Calgary Flames in (once again) the biggest game of the year. Can they shake off the rust early and hold a Calgary team accountable?

THREE THINGS TO LOOK FOR

  • Yes, Matthew Tkachuk will be in the lineup. So will Zack Kassian, who is fresh off a two game suspension (and a four year extension). There might be a tussle, there might not be one. As long as the Oilers are up by six goals when it happens, it’ll be OK.
  • Matthew Benning is expected to be back in the lineup tonight after missing several weeks with a concussion. Look for him on the third pair with Kris Russell tonight.
  • It’s the Battle of Alberta. The Oilers are down by a point in the standings to Calgary, but they’ve got two games in hand. Get out there, shake the rust off and play for two in regulation.

Let’s. Go. Oilers.
