Three Things To Look For:
- Mike Smith will get the nod for the Edmonton Oilers tonight. The much maligned 37-year old has had some troubles over the past month, posting a 2-8 record in his last 10 games played. His last win came on November 23rd against the Vegas Golden Knights.
- The Buffalo Sabres haven’t been so hot lately either. The team is in the midst of a 4-game losing streak and is desperate for a win to help them get back in the mix in the Atlantic division. It is safe to expect a very motivated Sabres team tonight.
- The Oilers are sporting a new-look top 6 tonight. Connor McDavid will remain at the centre of James Neal and Zack Kassian on the top line while Leon Draisaitl will pivot between Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Kailer Yamamoto. This will be Yamamoto’s second game of the season, he picked up an empty-net goal on New Years Eve against the Rangers.
LETS GO OILERS!
