Big long weekend! A few things worth noting, so let’s get to it.

Our Top 25 Under 25 series continued with #6 Tyler Benson, and #5 Philip Broberg both making their debuts this weekend.

Sunil posted the third episode of his Superfan Podcast. This week’s guest: Bruce McCurdy.

All the company verbal suggests Darnell Nurse is about to get PAID.

Woodguy posted a new article over the weekend, trying to project Tyler Benson’s season by looking at a group of players who scored like he did at the same age in the AHL.

The Athletic prospect guy Scott Wheeler profiled Oilers’ G prospect Dylan Wells.

Lowetide published his Reasonable Expectations article over at The Athletic, and his colleague Dom Luszczyszyn published his projection article for the Oilers this season - it was not rosy. LT also tried to project Connor McDavid’s points, and linemates, for the upcoming campaign.

The Oilers released their rookie camp roster Friday afternoon. Were there any surprise inclusions? Omissions? Lowetide took a crack at guessing some of the PTO invites, too.

Might there be a trade fit for Jesse Puljujarvi in Tampa?

There was a bit of pushback from the locals toward the ‘Eastern Media’ who had a fair bit to say last week about the Oilers. But why? Could it be the wasting of McDavid’s career to date is something worth talking about?

Finally, Jesse Puljujarvi scored 3 minutes into his Champions Hockey League debut with Karpat. It was a nice one-timer from the high slot after a well-executed face-off. It obviously made news here.
