Well how about that huh? The Oilers rode excellent performances by Ethan Bear and Tomas Jurco to a 5-3 victory against the Winnipeg Jets in Winnipeg last night, with both men chipping in with a couple of goals.
No cuts have been made in advance of their last preseason game against Calgary, but stay tuned as there very well could be. There are still quite a few bubble players in the mix, of course, Ken Holland exclusively brought in bubble players this summer, but still. There are decisions to be made, and soon.
The University of Alberta Golden Bears and Pandas hockey season gets underway tonight! Keep it locked to Copper and Blue for our periodical coverage of the city’s most storied post-secondary outfit throughout the season.
