Good morning!
The most exciting thing in Edmonton yesterday had to be that thunderstorm last night. What a light show. I love a good storm but I love them a lot more when they don’t come with tornado watches and baseball-sized hail. Last night was a peach, although I’m sure some Folk Fest patrons would vehemently disagree.
More concerning news from Finland as Jesse Puljujarvi’s agent continues to be bad at his job and devalue his client to the point where there is very little chance he gets what he wants (to play in North America) this season. It appears it is just not a fit here in The Oily City™, and the changing of a handful of staff hasn’t moved the needle enough for Puljujarvi to want to stay.
The Pittsburgh Penguins managed to ink D John Marino to a two-year deal, meaning the Oilers will indeed receive the conditional draft pick they were conditionally promised.
We released our Fan Vote results in our Top 25 Under 25 series. Some interesting results, to say the least. Raphael Lavoie landing at 16 among them!
Beyond that? Nothing. That’s it, that’s all. Check back with us later this afternoon for our NEAR MISSES article on the players who ranked 30-26 among Copper and Blue staff. Then run it back on Monday as our first article in the actual T25 U25 drops. Til then!

For Money
Save your money today. It’s Folk Fest weekend. Or donate it to an animal shelter. You do you, is the point.
