Good morning!

Real quickly — and definitely not out of necessity because I’m 12 minutes to deadline and haven’t written a word yet — here’s what the haps are:

In Top 25 Under 25 news, we released our article on #23 Filip Berglund yesterday. Don’t forget, #22 drops just after lunch today, so definitely circle back!

Given the Valimaki injury, we felt it prudent to at least suggest trading Kris Russell to the Flames. After all, it was their GM who suggested they’d be looking externally for help.

The Oilers’ media people caught up with Oscar Klefbom while he recharges over the summer.

The Oilers have a ton of new — if unknown, and perhaps unexciting — forwards coming into the new season.

There won’t be an Oilers vs Golden Bears game again this preseason. The mill suggests it’s down to some sort of pettiness on behalf of Daryl Katz. It’s unfortunate, for sure.

I’m sure it’s old news to many by now, but Leon Draisaitl was ranked the 6th best winger in the league in a typically problematic list from the NHL Network. It’s August, we’re really scraping the bottom of the barrel for links here.

Dobber took a look at the Oilers farm system recently as part of an ongoing series, not so dissimilar from Corey Pronman’s ongoing series at The Athletic.

That’s about it, folks. See you tomorrow!
