Got a tip trying to 100% verify but I'm being told @NHLFlames have traded James Neal to @EdmontonOilers for @27MilanLucic. May be other players involved. If I'm wrong my apologies to Neal/Lucic and the teams..

Oh wow.
OH wow.
We’ve got to find the details, but oh wow. It sure sounds like Milan Lucic is headed to Calgary.
Stay tuned for more details.
UPDATE: Milan Lucic for James Neal. It’s a deal. Waiting on salary retention / picks if any.
UPDATE 2: Oilers will retain 12.5% of Lucic's salary (750k * 4), conditional third round pick included.
This is a huge deal. Getting Lucic on to greener pastures and off Edmonton's cap is a big deal. Neal will be coming off a year where he shot just over 4%.
And if he doesn't work out? The Lucic buyout would be untenable. Neal would be a 2MM buyout for six years. That's not good, but it's not 3 years at 5MM like Lucic.
Solid, all around.
