It seems as though the Edmonton Oilers have caught the Czech bug in the late rounds of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft.
With their 6th round selection the Oilers took 6’3 Czech centermanTomas Mazura.
Mazura spent last season playing in the United States High School Prep program (USHS-Prep) with Kimbell Union Academy where he put up 54pts in 37gp.
Mazura is big for his age, weighing in at 181lbs and the aformentioned 6’3, and a quick look at his stat line shows that he more of a playmaker than a shooter (40 of his 54pts were assists)
He has committed to Providence College in the NCAA for next season.
Do you like the pick?
